Dr. Abdullah Al Rawahi is a highly skilled Consultant in Upper GI, Bariatric, and Laparoscopic Surgery with over 8 years of experience in advanced minimally invasive procedures. His clinical focus includes the surgical management of complex gastrointestinal disorders and obesity-related conditions. Trained extensively in France, Dr. Abdullah is an advocate of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol, promoting faster recovery and improved patient outcomes. He is passionate about patient-centered care, surgical innovation, and continuous learning.
He is the Member of European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ISDE) and Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Society – Oman. He is also the Vice President of Oman Surgical Society.

Work Experience
Dr. Abdullah Al Rawahi completed a comprehensive general surgery residency at the University of Montpellier in France, where he gained a strong foundation in surgical principles and techniques. He then pursued advanced subspecialty training in upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery at the Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital, also in France, where he honed his skills in minimally invasive procedures and complex GI surgeries. Following his training, he worked as a Consultant Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon at the Royal Hospital in Oman. He is currently serving as an Upper GI Surgeon at the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre, where he continues to provide expert care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
