The Story of Baby Badr

The baby who was named after Badr Al Samaa as “Badr”

Acknowledging the commitment of the clinicians, nursing staff and support of the management of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals in giving the baby a new life, his parents named him after Badr Al Samaa, "Badr".

"God has planned it all, but it was also because of the commitment of the staff of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals that I got my baby back in my life and I named my baby as Badr" said an emotional father of the baby who got the new life.

The fight for the new life was against all odds. Baby Badr was preterm. He was very underweight. Financial constraints came in the way.

As per the doctor the baby had a very challenging course of treatment right from his birth. His mother had sudden pain in the 6th month of her pregnancy and they went to other hospitals but being a high risk case with lesser weight and preterm baby, no one was ready to conduct the delivery.

His father said, looking at the situation Badr Badr was required to have the hospital stay for at least 50 days which meant a huge financial challenge for me and I was in no position to face this. I was hopeless, I wanted to give up the treatment. But the management of Badr Al Samaa came to my help and supported me financially and parallely the best treatment was going on.

Today if Baby Badr is alive, after God it is just because of Badr Al Samaa. I am highly indebted to Badr Al Samaa.

Multiple Heart Attacks and A new life

A story of 60 years Irfan Ahmad who suffered multiple heart attacks and got a new lease of life at Badr Al Samaa.

Narrating his experience the patient explained. I felt sweating, dizziness and severe pain in the chest. I felt that I should rush to hospital. At Badr AL Samaa I was given emergency treatment. Dr. Benny did my angiography and found major blockages in my heart. He gave me the best treatment because of which I am alive now. This is the new day of my life, which I will never forget. Badr Al Samaa gave me the best treatment; the staff is very experienced here. I got more comfort than home here in the hospital.

Dr. Benny Panakkal said, “The patient was very weak and at the verge of collapse. He came to us with a major heart attack and we did the primary angioplasty. We did the procedure from the radial route (wrist) and opened the blockage. But during the procedure his heart got arrested and we performed CPR and gave high voltage shocks to make sure the heart restarts again. He kept on having heart arrests and we managed to revive him with 20 shocks and many emergency protocols. After stabilizing him, we could place the stent at the blockage site. After shifting the CCU, he got heart arrest again. We did emergency procedures and 40 shocks again. We did angiography again to find out the reason for the heart arrest, we found the stent was placed right. He was managed in cardiac critical care”. He slowly recovered and got the new lease of life.
